Welcome to Your Mystery Story Page! This is the sweet spot to post your best effort at writing a mystery! This is also the place to post two stars and a wish about the other stories you read. Two stars are positive things you see in the story and your wish is constructive feedback on how to specifically improve the story.
So, to recap....which means go over again, post your story here after you've done some in class editing with your peers and then post it online for the world to see. The other people who are part of your team online, will post 2 stars (positive things) and one wish (constructive feedback to help make the story better). Be kind, because after all, they will do the same for you!

Trouble in the Bandlands

“Robert I'll beat you to the old family photo album!” cried Emily as she started to run towards the family room.
When Emily got to the family room, Robert was already there flipping through the family photo album. “Whoa how'd you do that?” Emily spat out.
“Do you remember when we wanted that stupid game console?” recalled Robert.

Robert and Emily were 13 year old twins and inseparable from birth.
“How can we get money for that new game console, Emily?” questioned Robert.
“ What about a lemonade stand, bake sale, or a pizza day for school.” Emily replied.
“Nah, I want to do something tremendous and out of school and I can't believe that mom will not buy it for us either! Wait I got it... we could try to find some fossils!”

“Where can we find them!?” asked frustrated Robert.
Robert and Emily were out digging for fossils in the badlands. They were out digging for fossils to gather some money for that expensive game console, “Nintendo 2010”.
After digging in the same area for three days they asked their mother if they could get a paleontologist to help them find some kind of fossil and she said “ You want a paleontologist to help you find fossils! Yeah no way if you guys want that game system you have to search till you guys find it. When they finally decided to search in different places they would most likely find some fossils if they did it that way.
Later that day when they had lunch they were brainstorming on how to find ANY fossils. “Robert, I think I have a plan!” exclaimed Emily, “We could start at the bottom of the Valley's side and work our way up!”
As they did what Emily said they found a fossil! When they took it to Drumheller's Tyrell Museum, the archologist told the kids that they found an unknown dinosaur bone. The kids were so excited because they got to name the dino . They decided to call it a goldosaurus because they found bits of gold in it. Also the museum paid them 2.5 million dollars. When the kids got home they told their mom about their adventures and they showed the 25 million dollars as well. Robert and Emily decided to talk it over and see what to do with the money. Emily burst out, “ Why don't we give 1 million to a hospital, I million to a homeless shelter and the rest we can keep for that game console?”
“Or we can give the rest to buy the rest to the community shelter down the street,” said Robert.
“Good idea!” replied Emily.

“Wow I remember that as if it were a year ago.” cried Robert.
“It was last year, smart one! Ha Ha Ha!” commented Emily.

I like how you do your story about the fossils and our communities jobs. I wish I have is that you could say when you start to think back into the past.

Mystery of the Stolen Horses.
By BubbaGump

I'm so tired of doing the same lessons over and over again, I just wish I could have my own horse so I could do different things with him thats all,” Natasha complained.
Well at least you can ride at all, some people don't even get to ride horses!” I replied.
Whatever, I have to go. I'll see you later, I have a ton of homework,” Natasha replied.

OK, well don't forget we have jumping lessons tomorrow,”I answered.

Hey Mr. Jones,” I said, It was Saturday morning and Natasha, Jas and I were getting to the barn early because we wanted to tack the horses up ourselves. Mr. Jones gave us jumping lessons on Saturday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Mr. Jones even let us use his three best jumpers, Ace, Picoe, and Banjo. Natasha, Jas, and I had been friends since grade three, and we had been taking lessons with Mr. Jones since grade six. Now we were in grade nine and we were inseperable.
Sorry Kids, but we're not doing lessons today. We may never do them again,” Mr. Jones answered.
Why not?” Jas asked.
Because, someone stole all of our tack and our three best horses, Ace, Picoe, and Banjo,” he replied.
That's horrible! We gotta find them, they could get hurt,” I exclaimed.
Do you know who would want to do this?” Jas questioned.
I'm sure there fine,” Natasha answered. I stared at her for a minute, wondering why she wasn't concerned. Then I asked,
Why would someone want to do this?”
Well..... James and I had an argument over who would be jumping Picoe this weekend at the derby but, I don't know why he would want to steal all my good jumpers. Picoe is the only one registered in the Derby,” Mr. Jones answered.
Okay, Well I'm gonna go talk to him anyhow,” I replied. As I hopped into my old pick up and
drove down to Jame's place I thought of who wanted to do such a thing to Mr. Jones. He was a nice man, and I was sure he wouldn't have any enemies, but you never did know anymore. As I drove into Jame's yard I looked around, something wasn't right. James didn't have the facilities to keep horses, and then at that moment I was sure James couldn't have stolen the horses.....

Solution
What do you think happened to Mr. Jones horses and tack.
a) The horses ran away.
b) Natasha stole the horses and the tack.
c)James hid the horses at a friends and hid the tack in his house.

b) is the correct answer. Natasha stole the horses.

At the beginning of the story I started off with Natasha complaining about how she would like to have a horse of her own so she decided to steal the horses so that she could ride any time she wanted, and do what she wanted to with them.

this is my story
The missing key
by:
cowgirl

One day when Roxy, Thunder and I were walking home from school we were talking about horses. ''I want to go to your place so bad Cowgirl,''told Roxy impatiently. As we came up to my house I started to look for my house key''oh no, oh no; oh no''I yelled to myself, but my friends heard me.''whats wrong they asked, as they looked at me.'' I cant find my house key!'' I told my friends, ''and my family are out for supper.''
I tried to think where I had put it last. ''Oh no I gave to my sister but I think she put it back.

Do you know who has it?
So I waited till my parents and sister got back. When my sister got out of the van I ran up to her, and asked her if she had it, but she said she didn't have it. She put it in my night stand drawer. I looked there and I found it so the next day I had my key.
